Peljesac

Peljesac is one of the most beautiful peninsulas of Croatia. The mountainous topography provides breathtaking views. High cliffs beside sandy beaches, many beautiful bays, and small villages located on the coast and inside the island will provide you with an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere of the whole peninsula is formed by well-hearted local people.

Sensitive combination of local traditional quality vineyards with nature is fascinating. Most notable varieties are Plavac Mali (Dingač, Postup), Rukatac or Pošip.

The first settlements of the peninsula were established by the Greeks, followed by the Romans and Byzantines. From the 14th to 19 century, peninsula belonged to the Dubrovnik Republic. The most important town is the city of Ston.
